The Pilates system was pioneered by Joseph Pilates nearly a century ago and originally called Controlagy; a practice of bringing the physical body under control of the conscious mind, united with the power of breath.
We still adhere to the six principles of Pilates: Breath, Concentration, Control, Precision, Centre and Flow. You’ll leave each session feeling alert yet calm mentally, balanced and energized physically.
My studio is equipped with two Balanced Body Allegra 2 Reformers with various props and accessories. I offer sessions that are personalized to each participant. With a max of two students, you can be assured that you’ll receive a level of attention that’s simply not possible at the larger chain studios.
In addition to classical and contemporary Reformer Pilates, I also offer Stretch & Restore—while not technically considered Pilates, I use the Reformer to offer a gentle assisted stretch, and physical support to calm the nervous system and clear the mind.
